Entry: 5K and 10 Mile
All proceeds from Elgin Valley Fox Trot cover the expenses of the race and help fund portion of the Youth Scholarship Fund. Donations & pledges are separate.
10 Mile: $30 ($40 on race day, no Centre or CARA discount)
5 Kilometer: $30 ($40 on race day, no Centre or CARA discount)
CARA or Centre members discount $3 (one discount per registration).Entry fees are non-refundable.All runners must register by May 19th to be guaranteed an event t-shirt. Registrations after May 19th may receive a t-shirt while supplies last.
Completed applications can be mailed in or dropped off at the Parks and Recreation offices at The Centre with a check or credit card no later than May 21. Race day registration will be $40.00 and will be available from 6:15 a.m. -7:30 a.m. The fee for the 2 mile fun walk is $30 per family of 4 or $10 per individual. Registration fees are the same for early registration or on the event day.

New this year! Runners and walkers can donate money, create teams (link to ), and solicit pledges to their favorite participating local charities.
Also, during the on-line registration process, runners will have the option of ordering a technical shirt for a modest additional fee. Otherwise, each runner will be given a standard cotton t-shirt as part of their registration.
Packet Pick-up: Packet Pick-up will be from 12 p.m. -5 p.m Saturday, May 29th only, at the Centre of Elgin, 100 Symphony Way, in Elgin. Those unable to pick up their packets on Saturday must pick them up the day of the race, from 6:30 a.m. 8 a.m. at the registration area located near the start line, at 150 Dexter Court parking lot area. Course Maps and Amenities: Runners can look forward to a challenging course, (click to view course maps) which begins in the Center City area, and takes them through beautiful historic neighborhoods, as well as the winding hills and ravines of Trout Park Fen and Lords Park. Supporters for both the 5k and the 10 mile race line the streets to cheer the racers to the finish line!
Volunteers from area neighborhood groups, civic organizations and area businesses will be positioned at water stations throughout the race route, at approximately each two mile marker.
